Tips on Caring For Your Jewelry

Aeternam jewelry is handcrafted using an array of materials, including brass, gold-plated brass, silver, and 14k gold-filled components.

Taking Care of Your Jewelry

We provide detailed care instructions with every piece of jewelry to ensure its longevity. In the unlikely event of any damage, please rest assured that repairs are possible.

Some Practical Guidelines

To keep your cherished jewelry safe, it's best to avoid situations where it might experience impact or friction. When transporting your jewelry, consider using a sturdy box for added protection.

About Gold-Plated Brass

Our gold-plated brass jewelry is crafted by coating brass with a 3-micron layer of gold, adhering to legal standards. It combines the preciousness of gold with durability, but proper maintenance is key.

Remember to remove your jewelry before engaging in water activities, sports, or sleep. Apply perfume before adorning your jewelry. Avoid contact with water, solvents, lotions, and creams, as they can tarnish the gold layer. Store your unused pieces in a sealed box within a dry environment. Periodically, use the provided chamois cloth to gently remove fingerprints.

Caring for Silver

Silver naturally develops a patina when exposed to air, but it gains polish and luster with wear and skin contact, especially for rings. When not wearing your silver jewelry, store it in a dry, enclosed box. Before wearing it again, lightly polish it with the provided chamois to enhance its anti-tarnishing properties. If you notice any oxidation, simply follow the same steps as for brass care.

About 14k Gold-Filled

Our 14k gold-filled material originates from the United States and boasts a substantial layer of 14k gold pressed onto a brass base. The gold content is 1/20th of the total weight, which is significantly more than gold-plated items. This results in exceptional durability, but it still requires diligent upkeep. The care advice for gold-plated brass is applicable here as well.

We trust that these brief instructions will help you in keeping your Aeternam jewelry looking radiant and well-maintained.
